From the President

Meletetsega Getachew
Founding President, JUMLSA
4th-year Medical Laboratory Science student

When we began planning this chapter, the idea was simple: medical laboratory students at Jimma should not have to wait until graduation to feel part of their profession.

Much of the evidence behind a diagnosis is produced in a laboratory. The habits that make a result trustworthy, such as care, honesty and attention to quality, are learned early, and they are easier to learn together.
